While in the Kanto region, university comedy has been gaining momentum with comedians from comedy circles performing on TV and stage in award shows, Tohoku University has had no comedy circle that performs manzai and comedy acts. Therefore, we, GYUTAN, were created in 2021 to promote comedy circles in Tohoku University. In our daily activities, we make up stories and hold live performances on campus. Once a month, we also perform in front of the general public.
We plan various events to entertain not only the audience with our stories, but also those who do not usually watch comedy.
We will do our best to make the school festival a great success!
