Hello, we are laido club. We will hold a laido performance on Hiroba stage, from 13:00 of the third day.
Do you know laido? Having a long history, laido is one of martial arts that uses a Japanese sword. It doesn’t have fights such as in Kendo, but individual performances that demonstrate Kata (techniques). Not only the accuracy of the techniques, but also the manner of the movements, powerfulness, and the beauty of the sword movements are the points to look at. The uniqueness of the performances is also an interesting point.
On this stage, we will explain each Kata so that people who have never seen laido can also enjoy the performance. Members will act as a sword holder and their opponent, and explain the movements. With the explanation, we would like to show you our different types of powerful techniques. We practice eagerly each day and will do our best on the performance. Please come and see us on the Hiroba stage!
